Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, received on Thursday Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security Council of Ukraine.

The meeting touched upon the relations of friendship and bilateral cooperation across various fields, as well as ways to develop the partnership between the two countries for mutual benefit and to enhance common interests.

Regarding regional developments and the efforts exerted to achieve security and stability, both sides affirmed their countries' support for policies of de-escalation, the containment of tensions, and the pursuit of consensual solutions to achieve lasting peace through dialogue and peaceful means between the concerned parties.

The meeting was attended by Munther Mahfoudh Al Manthri, Head of the Europe Department at the Foreign Ministry; Olha Selykh, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Sultanate of Oman; and several officials from both sides.
